Gabe & Tina: Engagement Session | Jamul, CA

I am so thankful for the amazing friends who have blessed me and Trent’s life. Gabe is one of Trent’s groomsmen in our wedding this summer and he recently got engaged to his beautiful fiancé Tina. I attended high school with both Gabe and Tina and I have loved the memories we have experienced together. I couldn’t imagine a couple more perfect for one another!

Gabe popped the question to Tina at the stroke of midnight on New Years Eve. Leaving Tina completely out of the loop prior to the engagement, Gabe worked like a mad man designing her gorgeous ring, buying a house, and setting up a romantic proposal. He kept telling Tina that they were months and maybe even a year away from being engaged, but as the time ticked towards midnight Gabe led Tina to an outside gazebo which lit up at 12:00am with lights saying, “Will You Marry Me?” Is that the greatest or what?

A few weeks after they got engaged I received the best news from Tina that she would want to book me as their wedding photographer. Friends have worried in the past that if I photograph their wedding then I won’t be able to truly enjoy their big day because I’ll be working. Don’t get me wrong, I love being a guest at a wedding, but if I had the preference I would always choose to be the photographer.  Being the photographer is amazing because you get to be apart of the bride and groom’s happiest day of their life from start to finish. You get to experience their pre-ceremony butterflies and you get to end the evening with heartfelt goodbyes as they leave their reception as man and wife. Nothing is greater than being involved in a story from the beginning to the end.

I can’t wait to photograph Gabe and Tina’s wedding this July and celebrate their new life together. Congrats you guys, I love you both so much!
