It’s crazy to think I knew my husband’s cousin before we even met. Megan has been a part of my life since I was a little girl. I always looked up to her for her sweet personality and her ability to be loved by everyone that she meets. Megan and my sister grew up together and when they were young, they tried to force myself and Madelyn (Megan’s younger sister) to be friends. They would invite us to come hot tubbing and then they would hop out in hopes that we would form some type of special bond. We would just sit awkwardly and stare in opposite directions. Now that we are older, I consider Madelyn one of my best friends and she was a bridesmaid in my wedding. I guess I have Megan and my sister to thank for that!
Megan’s wedding took place on a Sunday in Avila Beach, San Luis Obispo. The day prior, Chelsea and I had a 10 hour wedding day in San Diego. We ended the wedding around 10pm, we drove to SLO and arrived around 4:30am, we woke up at 6am, and we started their wedding day at 8am! It was a crazy 48 hours, but we couldn’t have asked for sweeter couples to celebrate the weekend with. Megan and her family hold a very special place in my heart and I would not have missed this day for anything… even if that meant being a zombie for the day!
Eric and Megan live in Colorado and they are the perfect pair. They love wine, they enjoy being adventurous, they are spontaneous, and they love being outside. It was my first time meeting Eric, but I felt like I already knew him through all the stories that I heard. I love his easy going personality, his effortless ability to have fun, and I especially love how much he adores Megan. When he saw her for the first time, his reaction was priceless. It was the kind that makes your girlfriends instantly tear up. Throughout their bride and groom portraits, he could not stop talking about how beautiful Megan was. During their reception, he gave a speech to his new wife just to thank her for choosing him. They share a special bond and I felt honored to be able to have captured it. I loved celebrating this special day with my family and I’m so happy for Eric and Megan. I can’t wait to see how God is going to bless their marriage and to witness all the adventures that come their way. Congrats Eric and Megan!
