Wedding: Brad & Marcia | Mt. Woodson, Ramona, CA| Analisa Joy Photography

I am so excited to post my favorite images from Brad and Marcia’s wedding day. Marcia and I have been friends since I was in junior high. She was in my sister’s class and growing up she was basically adopted into our family. Marcia went on a few of our family vacations and she came to our house for every celebration, event, and weekend hangout. Growing up, I always looked up to Marcia for her great fashion, outgoing personality, and hard work ethic. She has always had an ambitious and adventurous spirit and I wondered who would be able to keep with her. Fast forward a few years, Marcia met Brad! You could not have matched a better man with Marcia. He’s extremely intelligent, an incredible athlete, and has a passion to explore the world. Their dating life looks like they are on The Amazing Race because they are always hiking, exploring, and/or participating in marathons. I was so honored when they asked me to be their wedding photographer and I was in love with every moment of their special day. Wedding days are chaotic and they pass by in a blur, but I appreciated how they both took the time to soak up every detail. These two share a genuine love and it was so much fun to capture. I have so many favorites posted below. Enjoy!

When I arrived, Marcia had a box of details ready for me.
I love that it was filled with accessories so we could jazz it up!

Their written vows were so sweet!

I encourage all my couples to do a first on their wedding day. When I was presented with the first look idea for my own wedding, I thought my photographer was crazy (we are very traditional). Long story short, it was my favorite part of the entire day!! As a bride, you get to take the most important pictures of your day right after your hair and makeup gets done. You look pristine! No tears, sweat, stains, fallen curls, etc. You get alone time with your hubby, and you get to explore your venue and see all the details from your planning and visions come to life (before your guests arrive and create chaos with their snacks, drinks, bags, and purses). Your pictures are done prior to the ceremony so you can join your cocktail hour or use that extra time to take more photos (if you love pictures, you receive double the amount). You don’t have to worry about the sun going down, restricted timelines, making your guests wait, and from personal/professional experience your day flows with such ease. Most couples are hesitant of the idea because brides want their husband to be emotional when they see them for the first time walking down the aisle. It’s not the white dress that makes them emotional (they have seen you dolled up), it’s the surreal moment you’re about to become husband and wife. That reaction and emotion comes regardless!! I hadn’t seen my husband cry in 8 years of dating. He didn’t cry in our first look, but he was crying my entire walk down the aisle (and so was I). Brad and Marcia had a similar experience and I love the emotion they both displayed even though they were with one another prior to their ceremony!

How gorgeous is this background? I love Mt. Woodson Castle

They had a choreographed first dance and it was the cutest!

Bouquet toss!

Time to grab the garter!

Such a fun dance floor!
