“Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope.”

Personal: Summer in February | Coronado, CA | Analisa Joy Photography | San Diego, CA Photographer

When we were younger my mom put my sister and I in a variety of sports. My older sister played volleyball, soccer, and practically any sport that involved a ball. I was put in all the girly sports such as gymnastics, ballet, and cheer. Although, I loved the glory days of gymnastics and cheerleading it’s not like you can hang out with your group of friends and ask if anyone wants to play on the balance beam. My ball skills are minimal to nothing and I don’t know how, but I ended up with a group of friends who love playing every ball sport any time the sun is shining (which is often in San Diego). Our sunny days usually consist of beach volleyball, football at the park, or basketball and since I am married to Trent who loves every sport known to man I am often asked to tag along to most of his games. Most of our friends have been hanging out since the beginning of high school and even though they are attached at the hip their friendship is usually put on the sidelines when it comes to game time.  I can’t tell you how many times I have seen them storm off, kick the ball over the fence, or get into each others faces when the other calls a foul. I have seen these boys give each other a bloody noses and then catch lunch five minutes later. I’ll never understand it! Anyways, I love having summer in February. We have been having unpredictable rainy weather and when the boys found out that we were going to have clear blue skies they arranged the first beach volleyball day of the year. We are truly blessed to live in San Diego. After traveling to the East Coast for work last week I was so thankful to be able to come home and layout on the beach. There is no place I would rather be!

They decided to take a “resting” break, but ended up playing chicken.

And then they formed a pyramid because they wanted to “Simba” my sweet Posey.

I quickly came to her rescue!
