Spring is my absolute favorite season! I love the introduction to longer days, the greenery, and how everything comes to life. I read that San Diego hasn’t experienced these types of rains in over three decades so going outside is a must. Everyone needs to find a day to soak up nature because the trees, plants, flowers, and grass is so lush and beautiful!! We commute to San Diego almost every weekend and that two hour drive has made us feel like we are driving through the hills of Ireland! It’s GORGEOUS!

My husband is a medical student so he is constantly studying around the clock. Last week he was on Spring Break and we took advantage of the freedom. We went hiking, tubing, to Sea World, and my favorite… to a gorgeous garden in LA! Trent knows that Spring is my favorite season so he surprised me with a day of favorites. We explored the blooming garden, we ate at a local Italian restaurant, and we ended the evening with a movie and my favorite wine… yes, I said wine. For a long time, I thought I was the only girl who didn’t drink coffee or wine, but he finally discovered one that I liked and paired it with my favorite dark chocolate. I really did win the husband lottery. He’s always going above and beyond!

I hate getting my pictures professionally taken, but Trent insisted that I bring my camera. I have a bad habit of leaving my camera at home when it comes to personal life events, but I am trying to get better at it. Hats off to all those Insta photogs/moms/bloggers who take these amazing professional shots throughout their day everyday. Someone share their secret with me so I can jump on the train! I sometimes try to make my grid artistic, but I can’t sacrifice those selfies with my dog or Bryer with beans on his face. Here are a few favorite images from our date. I’m just sad I can’t incorporate a scratch and sniff into these pictures because it was the best smelling day. Enjoy!
