Personal: Pumpkin Patch | Alpine, CA | Analisa Joy Photography | San Diego, CA Photographer

We are two days away from Halloween and I could not be more excited. Last weekend, a group of us met up for some fun Halloween festivities. We started our day at the pumpkin patch where the boys spent most of their time playing football, while us girls spent our time taking pictures (what else is new)? This year, we procrastinated on our pumpkin patch venture and when we arrived at the patch we had little to choose from. I felt like I was in the Charlie Brown movie and the only choice that we had was the little tree that nobody wanted. We headed back with our moldy and lumpy pumpkins and began carving. It was a slimy and gooey mess as usual and almost all of us said, “dang it… oops… it’s not supposed to look like this” at least once while carving. My friend Brenna attempted to carve a skull and ended up carving a huge hole making it look as if a giant decided to punch the pumpkin with his fist. When the sun went down we grabbed the candles and lined up our walkway with all of our pumpkins. We then headed inside, ordered pizza, and watched old school Halloween movies. I am so thankful for my friends who are not too cool to join in on all these fun traditions. Hopefully, we never get too cool for Halloween.

This is my favorite pumpkin by Sam.
He carved this free hand… No stencil!
