Personal: Live in it to Win It | Dodge Dart Challenge | Comic Con | Brookshier Diaries

For all of you who don’t know, it is Trent’s dream in life to be on the show Survivor. Most of you probably haven’t watched an episode since Colby and Tina, but it has been his favorite show growing up and every year he sends in an audition tape with hopes of being selected as a contestant. Each year that he doesn’t get chosen he tries to accomplish something new so that he can spice up his resume. One year he beat the world record for most pushups in one hour (4,064 pushups), and every year following he tries to get on some type of game show so that he can send in more tapes of himself on TV. Earlier this year he got on the game show, “It’s Worth What” and then last week he was chosen for  the show “Live in it to Win It.”  In this seasons “Live in it to Win it,” contestants were apart of Comic Con’s Dodge Dart Challenge. The challenge was simple… Four people had to live in a car for four days. They had to compete in challenges, receive votes via Twitter/texting, and wear ridiculous superhero costumes. The person with the most points on the last day would receive a brand new 2013 Dodge Dart.

All four players were on Spike TV’s live streem from noon to midnight. Let’s just say I had a hard time getting anything done because I could not help but watch Trent live in a car all day. It was strangely addicting. They could not shower, shave, or change costumes. The only times they were allowed out of the car was for meals, bathroom breaks, or challenges. They were displayed on a stage in the midst of Comic Con so all night long people walked by and hackled them while they tried to receive an hour or two of sleep. It was a draining four days, but luckily Trent had so many friends and family come out to support him. The superhero that he created for himself was Tobybluewolf so naturally his supporters called themselves the wolf pack (myself included). We cheered and we even howled for every challenge he won. For four days, Trent and another contestant named Ian went back and forth between first and second place. Going into the last day, Trent was on the top of the leader board but he quickly fell into second place when Ian won two challenges in a row. After the final challenge on the last day, Ian was ahead of Trent by 150 points. The only way Trent had a chance of winning this brand new car would be if he won the text message challenge. The person who received the most text votes over the course of four days would receive 10% of their points. With an amazing 75% of the vote, Trent DOMINATED the texting challenge and came out victorious in the “Live in it to Win It” Dodge Dart Challenge!! We are so appreciative to everyone who watched online and for all of those who voted. It was because of your votes that Trent won and we could not be more thankful!

Anders Holmvik and Adam Demamp (from Workaholics) awarded Trent first place for best costume.
