Personal: Halloween 2013 | Analisa Joy Photography

I love any excuse to dress up. This year, I had to photograph a wedding on Halloween so we decided to celebrate the night before. I am thankful I have friends who are not “too cool” to get into the costume spirit. We invited some close friends to our house on Hallows-Eve for a night of games, food, scary movies, and a sleepover. We gave out two costume prizes to, “best pair” and “best overall” along with a “best gamer” prize. Our friends our highly competitive so we decided that we would declare one winner with the most accumulated points at the end of the evening. We played games until midnight and then we ended the night with a scary movie. We laid out blankets and pillows all over our living room and had a giant slumber party. I felt like a kid again! I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween.

After we filled up on food, we divided into three random teams. Our first game was a photo challenge.
We received a two page list with tasks that we had to complete. We had to take pictures with our cell phones to prove that we accomplished the task.

Here were some of our tasks that were captured on my iPhone.
Team picture with one person in a grocery cart and get a kiss on the cheek by a stranger.

Team picture in the park and a team picture planking in a store.

Team picture “Tebowing” in a grocery store.

Team picture in a fast food restaurant with a food and/or drink purchase.

Sadly, my team came in last place, but we had wipe our tears and move on to the next challenge.
Mummy wrap race. In two minutes we had to completely wrap one person from our team.

Again, my team came in last. I think I am bad luck. Our mummy is second to the right. Oops!

We then paraded our costumes and voted for our favorites.
My sister and I won “Best Pair.” It was hard competition.

Obviously, I am excited that I finally won something.

The finalists for “Best Overall.”

The final two.

The Scarecrow took home the prize!

Our night ended with one final game.
A bobbing for apples relay race.

The winners!

The final two for “Best Gamers.” The Amandas.

Mandy won with the most accumulated game points.
Clearly, shocked!

Thankful for these fun and creative individuals.
Even my dog Posey got into the spirit… Until next year!
