“Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope.”

The other day, I was having a conversation with someone about New Years Resolutions. They told me that they thought it was weird that so many people waited until the start of the new year to make changes in their lives. I am definitely one of those people and it’s to the degree that I write down all my resolutions throughout the course of December. Why do we think of and create our resolutions a month or two in advance and then put them on the back burner? I guess that means we aren’t fully ready to jump in and make the change.

When I first started blogging, the majority of my posts were about my life. I cherish my older posts and I still enjoy reading about the trips I went on, falling in love with Trent, getting engaged, getting married, and everything else in between. Now, when I get to my computer, I can barely fathom editing personal photos because I have so many sessions and weddings to tend to. There is always something more important in my work life then editing a personal blog post. However, I want to remember these moments and I want to be able to scroll through my blog and smile at the memories that were made in between my weekday family sessions and weekend weddings. I already made the resolution to find time to take my camera out more and blog personal experiences. I was determined to start the change early!

So, for the first time in a few years, I brought my camera with me to Disneyland. It’s rare that I bring my camera with me to events because people always ask me to photograph every moment of their day. Also, when it comes to Disneyland, I leave it behind because I love water rides and I don’t want to risk my camera gear being submerged by a Splash Mountain wave. However, this trip was different because we traveled with a larger group and more times then not, large groups avoid water rides… lame! My friends know how much time I spend behind my computer, so they are really considerate about letting me enjoy my day. Sometimes they even tell me to stop taking pictures and they steal my camera and they take pictures of me! They are the best! We recently went to Disneyland and we visited both parks a few weeks prior to Halloween. We all bought matching shirts and Trent dressed like a pirate. I still have those people who are determined to convince me that Disneyland is not fun, but every time we go it truly is the happiest place on earth. Those opinions got nothing on Mickey pretzels and World of Color! It was a great day with my family and friends and I’m already looking forward to our Christmas trip. Enjoy!

I love to match and these shirts were especially awesome because they glowed in the dark.
You should’ve seen us during Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain. We looked awesome!

I don’t need to ride every ride at Disneyland to have fun. I love exploring all the shops!

I’m thankful to have a best friend who shares my Disney passion!

If your hair looks good at Disneyland, you are doing something wrong.

These girls, I love them!

Such a fun group! We’ll be back!
