Yesterday, Trent and I decided to head up to my engagement session a few hours early and eat lunch at Lake Cuyamaca. It is weird to think that a year ago we were meeting up with our photographer at this same location for our engagement pictures. I can’t believe how fast time is flying by! Before our hour long drive we made a pit stop to Submarina. Those fluffy and delectable sandwiches are currently my new obsession so we grabbed some subs, found a picnic bench, and enjoyed our delicious meal next to the water. It’s rare for Trent to join me on my sessions because he is always working, but he brought his work to the lake so that he could spend the day with me (best husband award). After our lunch Trent decided to pick up my camera and try out his photography skills. I always try to convince him to learn the art so that we can become a dynamic duo, but he wants to leave the artsy world to me while he conquers the world of real estate, math, science, writing, and everything in between. He truly is the jack of all trades. It is always awkward for me to be on the other side of the camera, but it was fun having Trent direct me as his “model.” I was the only moving subject around so I had no choice. Kuddos to my hubby for finally getting me a new Facebook profile picture for my fanpage and who knows, maybe their is room to squeeze him into the artsy world after all.
Trying to conquer the smiling with no teeth look. Not fully mastered, but hey I’m trying!
On our way home Trent and I decided to pull over when we saw a deer standing in the middle of the road. That’s one of many reasons why I love driving along the 79. You are surrounded by so many beautiful creatures, trees, hills, and mountains. The weather was crisp and cold so our nature viewing was brief, but I was happy to be able to capture this final picture of the day. Happy Thursday!
