I am nominating Ally and Jen for daughters of the year. They took time out of their busy schedule to drive an hour and half for a sister session so that they could surprise their parents with some framed prints. They haven’t had pictures together for years and they knew their parents would love to have some updated photographs. Having a brother and a sister of my own I cannot imagine how we would act if we had to spend two hours with one another behind the camera. There would be a lot of joking, threats, arm whapping, and ganging up on one another. I know once they see this blog a sibling session will soon be quickly requested. Sisters are especially fun to photograph! Someone always catches the other stealing their clothes, they are not afraid to tell one another if their hair looks bad, and sister’s can banter over the smallest thing and then be lovey-dovey within seconds. Ally and Jen are only two years a part and their close age has helped them maintain a very strong friendship. Ally is the older sister who organized this session and thought of all the outfit selections. Jen is the youngest and took on the role as the comedian during our session. She has a talent for one liners and she kept us all laughing throughout our entire time together. The girls brought bags full of clothes because they did not know what to pack with the unpredictable weather. Surrounded by storm clouds the girls pulled out their rain boots, umbrellas, and raincoats and they didn’t let anything rain on their parade… or in this case their session. See what I did there? My husband tells me to ease on the cheesy jokes, but I can’t help myself. I wish I could see their parents faces when they surprise them with these photos because these two girls are gorgeous!
