Three weeks prior to my wedding I decided I would not book any more sessions. With Trent’s college graduation, our wedding, and our honeymoon I knew I would not be able to put in the time that I needed into finishing any last minute projects. However, while sitting at Trent’s graduation up in Irvine I received a text message with a request to photograph Shadow Mountain’s Father’s Day service at Qualcomm Stadium. I knew this would be a big project so I initially told them I was not available. However, when Trent discovered that I might be able to photograph Tim Tebow he did not give me the option to turn down this job. He is a huge Tim Tebow fan so he told me that this was an opportunity that I could not refuse.
Shadow Mountain was anticipating 10-30 thousand guests so when myself, Pastor Jeremiah, and Tim Tebow walked out into the stadium we could not believe how many people came out to hear this service. Thousands upon thousands of families came in support of Shadow Mountain and Tim Tebow. From all around the stadium I saw men, women, children, families, and football enthusiasts. It was hot and the sun was blaring on the crowd, but everyone in the stands were nothing but smiles as they worshipped and listened to the words of these two amazing Christian leaders.
I am so thankful that Trent encouraged me to grab at this last minute opportunity. I loved photographing with Shadow Mountain Church and I also loved that men as influential as Dr. David Jeremiah and Tim Tebow were able to use their gifts to bring so many people to Christ. It is easy to fall into the belief that life circulates around our time and schedules so I am appreciative for this experience because it helped me gain a new perspective that no matter how busy my life seems to be, there is always time to worship and help others grow in their faith.
Mad dash for the locker room!
