When it comes to my friends I think the world of them and I can’t thank God enough for the people that He has placed into my life. I’m getting to the age now where every time I login to Facebook someone is engaged… It has seriously been the season of engagements! College graduation is just around the corner and I know everyone is about to undergo a big life change. People are finding their careers, moving, extending their education, and/or meeting those “special someones” who possibly are qualified to be apart of their new journey. When it comes to my friends dating life I am very opinionated in their search and pursuit. I don’t want any of my friends to fall for a dog (we’ve all seen that right?)… Their loved ones must go above and beyond! When my girlfriends tell me about the boys they go on dates with I want to know the who, what, where, when, and why! Some call it nosy, I call it great detective skills.
It’s now time to meet two very special friends of mine, Landon and Chelsea. Since high school Landon has been one of my closest friends and he is one of Trent’s best friends. Landon and I had classes together all four years, we went on family vacations together, we went to the same college, and now we are engaged and getting married within the same month! We even have the same pastor marrying us… Go Troy! Oh and one more, both Landon and Trent are groomsmen in each others weddings… How cute is that? I remember in college Landon told me that his dad was insisting that he needed to go visit his chiropractor because they had a beautiful receptionist named Chelsea. He told me all about their first meeting and how easy she was to talk to and how cute she was and how his family loved her and the list goes on and on. As the days passed without knowing it he would light up every time he talked about her. When I finally met Chelsea I knew she was a girl who was going to exceed all standards. She was smart, sweet, Godly, beautiful, and everything in between. Oh and she’s perfect for Landon because who else in San Diego would put up with his crazy Raider Nation obsession?
Prior to engagement sessions I have my couples fill out surveys so I can get to know them on a personal level and while reading Chelsea and Landon’s responses I was laughing and tearing up all at the same time!
Here are some of my favorite responses:
What makes you unique as a couple:
- “We can do absolutely anything together and have a good time no matter what. We also never get tired of hanging out with each other (or at least I don’t).”
What will be unique about your wedding:
- “I’m sure we will be including something about the Raiders in our vows…”
Landon’s Questionnaire: (He’s a big joker)
What is your favorite candy & movie:
- “Chelsea LOVES candy!! I’ll eat some, but I would rather just eat meat and protein… We like to watch movies together, but it doesn’t really matter what we watch because we’ll just be making out! HAHA just kidding, we love to see comedies together and pretty much any other genre.”
When did you know you wanted to get married:
- “I knew I wanted to marry Chelsea when we told each other that we wanted communication to be huge in our relationship and I know communication is the key to a successful marriage… I already knew how much I loved and cared about her and with excellent communication this relationship was forever!”
Landon couldn’t have found a better girl to share his life with. I feel so blessed to have this amazing couple in my life and I can’t WAIT to photograph their wedding day next June. Congrats Landon and Chelsea!
