This is a long and overdue post, but it was so hard for me to narrow down my favorites from Jon & Lauren’s wedding. I have second shot many weddings, but I finally received the opportunity to be the main photographer for their big day. Their wedding took place in June and it was a beautiful backyard wedding… Backyard weddings are my favorite! They feel so personalized and I love watching peoples creativity come alive when they turn a home into a wedding dream venue. Lauren’s mom, Becky organized the entire event from the food, decor, and flowers. I can’t believe she didn’t have a planning company prior to her daughters wedding because everything came out perfect. We hired her instantly as my florist for my wedding after seeing how great of a job she did. Becky is now starting her own wedding planning company… So ladies if you are getting married contact me if you want an awesome wedding coordinator!
My first experience as the main shooter went surprisingly smooth… The bridal party was fabulous and I had the best second shooter ever, Jorge Solorzano. Jorge is an amazing photographer and is now my go-to man for every photography event. But don’t worry I did manage to create one embarrassing story from the big day. Lucky for me Jon picked really tall groomsmen and a lot of them. During the ceremony I was behind the boys capturing Lauren and Jon through their shoulders (so I was therefore hidden from the guests) and since I was only looking through my camera and not at my surroundings I started walking forward and failed to noticed the small bush in front of me. My clumsiness caused me to fall awkwardly onto my knees and into the bushes. Don’t worry I didn’t belly flop into a bush, I just fell on my knees a sunk into it. Still embarrassing though because I can’t make noise let alone create a scene when I’m supposed to be pretty much invisible. Real smooth Analisa. However, when I looked up and around my tall body guards I noticed that not a single guest was looking in my direction. Rumor has it the scene was not even witnessed… Or at least that’s what people told me.
Overall, the evil bush was the only set back from the day and I had the best time capturing the love and commitment of this great couple. Jon and Lauren are amazing and I can’t wait to watch God bless their marriage and their lives together. Congrats again Mr. and Mrs. Gee and thank you for letting me be apart of your special day! :)
