Engagement Session: Scott & Lisa | Julian, CA | Analisa Joy Photography | San Diego, CA Photographer

Seriously, this was probably the most beautiful day for a photo session. As a photographer, I couldn’t have dreamt up better lighting or scenery. We arrived to Julian after the rain spells so we were greeted with luscious green grass and vibrant yellow flowers. It’s been dead by the lake for quite some time so I was really excited to see so much freshness and life. Before most engagement sessions, I meet with the couple for a wedding consultation. Some choose to forgo their meeting due to distance or busyness and when that happens, I often don’t meet my couples until their engagement session or wedding day. I didn’t meet Scott or Lisa prior to our session, but since we exchanged so many emails I felt like we already knew one another. When I met them on their shoot, I loved their go with the flow attitude. I made them hike all over and they told me that they would do whatever I suggested if that meant it would be a great photo. I LOVE couples who share my same logic ;) We received a workout exploring the hills and trails and we were rewarded with some epic shots. I’m looking forward to photographing their wedding day, I can’t wait to take more photos and go on more adventures with these two. Congrats Scott and Lisa!

Wow, I love these flowers. I only see them blooming once a year. We got lucky!
