I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to kick of my first session for 2014. Sam was my husband’s best man at our wedding. We have been friends with Sam for ten years and I’m so thankful for the all the memories that we have created. From high school, vacations, college, and weddings, it’s been a blessing being able to go through life’s greatest moments together. Sam witnessed Trent and I fall in love and it was amazing being able to watch Sam and Holly fall in love. Sam and Holly met through their home church. Holly is tender hearted, sweet, and full of passion for life and for people. She was roommates with Sam’s younger sister and she has a passion for ministry. Sam and Holly went on a mission trip to Peru and when they came back, Trent and I could tell that Sam was head over heels for Holly. Rumor has it, these two were attached at the hip throughout the entire trip. A few years ago, Sam told me that he was going to tell only one girl that he loved them and that girl was going to be his wife. Last November, Sam brought Holly along to his family vacation up in Yosemite and he proposed to her at the end of one of their hikes. For the first time, Sam said, “I love you” and Holly happily accepted while his family tearfully watched from the sidelines. These two have been inseparable since and they have such a joyful spirit when they are together. I felt honored when Holly asked me to be their wedding photographer and we had the best time on their engagement session. Side note, you know when you have been friends with someone for a long time when they bring you snacks. Sam knows that I’m always skipping meals on photo shoot days because I’m usually running out the door, so he packed apples and crackers to get us through our session. He told me that he didn’t want me to get hangry (hungry/angry) during our shoot. We were cracking up because once again, I forgot to eat lunch and those crunchy apples were our saving grace. If this is what the first session looks like for 2014, I’m excited to see what’s in store for the rest of the year. Congrats Sam and Holly!
Such an awesome tree. I want this framed in our house!
