I’m extra excited to share this engagement session today! This is the first time I photographed at a location near my new home. Recently, my husband and I moved toward LA because he was accepted into med school. I have (and will) be commuting to San Diego EVERY weekend until the end of December. I am getting used to the drive, but I’m looking for other options to entice my clients to try out new locations. I have been shooting in the same ares of San Diego for five years so it’s fun to uproot and explore new grounds. Mark and Sam are adventurous, they love the outdoors, and they enjoy hiking with their pup. I live near Mt. Baldy and after describing their personalities, I knew this would be the perfect location for their session. We almost had to cancel due to California’s bipolar weather, but these two wanted to take on the risks and they decided that they were ready to get their pictures taken rain or shine. We were greeted with heavy clouds and cool weather. That was a nice change from our mid 90s and humid summer. Sam brought her mom who was the best assistant with their fur child. We hiked all over and I’m in love with all the shots we were able to capture. After I said, “final photo,” we felt raindrops… Perfect timing! These two share an effortless love and it was so much fun to photograph. I’m so excited to be a part of their big day next Spring! Congrats Mark and Sam!
