Bridal Party, Ugly Sweater Party: Personal

So I think Trent and I are going for the world record of the world’s biggest bridal party. Well, I’m sure their are people who have way more than us, but I think are number is still pretty ridiculous. Trent has 13 groomsmen, I have 11 bridesmaids, and we have 4 ring bearers and 2 flower girls… Crazy I know!  However, the advantage of having such a large bridal party is that you get to have best bridal party hangouts! We have so many close friends so we knew that we were either going to have to decide on a family only bridal party or  just go big and include all of our best friends. We didn’t want to exclude anyone so we just went big!

My sister and Trent’s best man Sam organized a Christmas party with the bridal party and it had to be one of the funniest nights of my life. We had games, food, ugly sweaters, white elephant gag gifts, and “Secret Challenges.” Throughout the night we would receive points and the points determined what position you would be in for the white elephant gift exchange. The secret challenges were cards Trent handed to each person at the beginning of the party which included a task that you secretly had to do sometime (or all the time) throughout the night. For instance, my task was to play footsie with every person at the party. Awkward. I received so many weird looks every time I sat by someone and started rubbing my feet on them. Another challenge was that every time someone said your name you had to say “ho, ho, ho.” Other tasks included, getting 10 people to do a group hug, after every game yell “this is the best Christmas ever,” belly bump every person at the party, etc. You would think everyone would notice the secret tasks, but since we are all so weird on an every day basis nobody caught on. At the end of the night if you completed your challenge without anyone discovering what you had to do then you would receive 10 points.

I’m so thankful I have friends who put up with me and Trent’s weirdness and actually go along with the bizarre things we throw at them during our get togethers. At the end of the night Trent added all the points and I mysteriously came in first place… I think, actually I know he cheated because I didn’t do enough to accumulate all those points to come in first place, but he wouldn’t allow me to challenge the scoreboard. However, I’m happy I received last pick in the gift exchange because that meant I was able to watch everyone open up their gift and then I had the choice to either steal it or pick the last mystery present. I couldn’t be happier with my choice and after stealing from my beautiful friend Nikki (sorry Nikki), I walked away with a Justin Bieber sing-along tooth brush. I’m going to end this post now because I want to go brush my teeth and dance in my bathroom. Happy 1 week till Christmas.

Our first game was the… banana swinging game? I don’t think it actually has a title, but it’s HILARIOUS! You divide into teams and then tie a banana behind you and swing it until it hits a ping pong ball. Your objective is to beat the opposing teams and get your ping pong ball into a square goal on the opposite side of the room.

The next game was dressing your partner while blindfolded. Trent chose to suffocate me with layers of clothing rather than actually dressing me.

The final product. Looking Fashionable.
